- Marcin Lewinski at Rutgers University

Marcin Lewinski is a visiting scholar the Communication Department, Rutgers University, New Jersey from 1 April to 22 June 2012.

His stay is part of the of a post-doctoral project Argumentation in the virtual public sphere: Between ideal models and actual practices sponsored by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT: SFRH/BPD/74541/2010). His main aim is to collaborate with Prof. Mark Aakhus on a project on argumentation in multi-party deliberation. In this way, Marcin and Mark are expanding on their previous work (Aakhus, M. & Lewinski, M. (2011). Argument analysis in large-scale deliberation. In E. Feteris, B. Garssen, F. Snoeck Henkemans (Eds.), Keeping in touch with pragma-dialectics (pp. 165-184). Amsterdam: John Benjamins).

The collaboration is going to continue next year.
